British MK.6 plastic helmet. First issued mid 1980'S this one is dated 1986.The bulges on the sides are to accommodate earphones plus they have attachments for a visor. Note the the chin strap has three anchor points and the chin cup reminiscent of a Paratroopers helmet. They are now being Replaced in 2005 With the MK.6A which is made of Kevlar and has some differences to the liner,The MK6A has now been replaced in 2009 by the MK7. The camouflage cover's are interchangeable. Shown are the standard green camouflage, desert,winter and United Nations.
