MK.11 NO.2.C. National Fire Service helmet with a MK.1 liner and MK.11 chin strap made by JSS. Joseph Sankey & Sons Ltd (Bilston) region number 29 which I believe is for Preston. Originally a Auxiliary Fire Service helmet painted grey with white rank bands then National Fire Service decals added probably when it came into being on the 18th August 1941, the normal National Fire Service helmet colour being green with red rank bands.

MK.11 helmet made by RO&CO. Rubery Owen Co.Ltd.(Leeds), probably a factory fire helmet with a MK.1 liner date and maker not legible, the letters M.E.W are probably the initials of the factory, there is also a tag attached to the liner with possibly the owners name and the initials of the factory . Also note the MK.11 chinstrap lugs.
